The January meeting of the Fostoria Coin Club was called to order on January 19th, 2026, at 7:30pm, by President Brandeberry, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 22 members present.
The minutes and treasury reports were reviewed and approved as read.
Illnesses: None
OLD BUSINESS:
Presentations were discussed – Vic is presenting a talk on VAM Morgans at tonight's meeting. Harry has signed up to discuss foreign coins.
Yearly dues are due. See Vini to take care of that.
Vini presented the Christmas half dollars to members that missed December's meeting.
SHOW BUSINESS:
Vini reviewed keeping the same chair people on each committee.
Cody has sent out 23 dealer letters and has committed 6 dealer tables so far.
Vini discussed having dealers donate door prizes for the hourly drawings – the club agreed to make that request.
The club also discussed using sign up sheets again as past years.
We will continue last year's membership drive where if they sign up at the show, their first year's dues will be covered by Vini.
Tables – The team will retrieve the tables on Saturday at the auction house, but then store them at Frank's business after the show.
There are fliers available for members to post around town. Every needs to do their part to sell raffle tickets as well.
NEW BUSINESS:
Installation of officers was done by President Brandeberry.
Gary requested the money to cover the club's website for the next 5 years.
PRESENTATION:
Vic held a presentation on VAM Morgans, that was very informative. He showed examples, passed around his collection, and gave recommendations on where to look up details.
Gary and Vic made a motion and second to adjourn the meeting.
Door prizes and an auction followed.
