The April meeting of the Fostoria Coin Club was called to order April 17, 2023, at 7:30pm by President Brandeberry with the Pledge of Allegiance. Nineteen members were in attendance. The March minutes were read and approved, as was the Treasurer’s report. Next meeting will be held on Monday, May 15, at 7:30 PM at the Fostoria Learning Center.
Show Business -
Vince thanked all the chairpersons, Phil Cole, and Vic, for their contributions, and also noted that dealers gave 5 of the door prizes.
Vince went over the financials for this year's show and compared it to last year.
2023 profit was $1153 vs $490 from 2022.
Raffle ticket sales were down.
Attendance was estimated at 200-250
Security requested a first aid kit be provided next time, and Harry will have the boy scouts submit 2 kits.
The Learning Center was pleased with the clean up
Dealers - stated they made money and were glad they stayed
We need someone to step up as the show chairman and to take over food
A donation to the Learning Center was discussed. Harry made a motion to donate $250 as a scholarship, and Phil W. seconded that motion. It was followed by a positive membership vote to do so.
New Business-
Membership dues - if you have not paid yet, please see Vini to take care of.
Harry and Gary motioned and 2nd’d to adjourn the meeting.
Door prizes and auction followed.
